Easter in Kauai

The kids woke up bright and early--5:30 a.m. and Jackson discovered the Easter Bunny found us in Kauai. It was too awkward to pack baskets so instead there were some eggs, candy, a small toy, books, and swimsuits displayed in our room.

Sierra's parents joined us at our hotel for a giant Easter Egg Hunt. They are staying on the eastern shore and arrived several days before us so our trip overlaps by a few days. It was a lot of fun and luckily they had the hunt divided by age groups. I was worried Riley would get pushed down and hurt her arm.

We had a fabulous Easter Brunch at Rum Fire which is at the Sheraton Kauai. They had everything you could possibly want to eat--from an omelette station to mimosas. Yes, please!

Gram Roni and I had enjoyed massages after brunch while Grandpa Terry watched Riley nap. Sierra took Jackson to the pool where they stayed for hours!

We ended up going out to eat for dinner after asking the valet for a recommendation. It wasn't your typical Easter meal--chicken strips, grilled cheese, and fries for the kids, but it was a nice way to end the day. We have lots to be grateful for and love the life we have with each other in the paradise of Kauai or in our own paradise at home. Hope everyone had a happy Easter!
