Walking down Main Street |
We promised the kids that after their patience with open houses, countless showings, and Mama getting upset if a toy was left out or a pillow not fluffed while selling our home, we would go to Disneyland. Selling our house late Spring-Summer meant we couldn't plan a summer vacation. Then we knew after moving and unpacking, plus being in my third trimester...no real vacation. The kids were so excited when Sierra told them our plans Sunday during dinner...that in the morning we were off to The Happiest Place on Earth!
Jackson kept doing this same pose with his thumbs up. |
Riley waiting for her first ride--the rockets. |
Living closer to the 5 freeway has its advantages--we were at Mickey's House in less than 90 minutes! The park opened at 8 a.m. and we were inside by 9 a.m. and by 10 a.m. Jackson and Sierra had been on several rides! It wasn't crowded at all. This was Jackson's third time to D-land, and Riley's second. Jackson for the first time could ride a majority of the rides--all but Autopia (alone) and Indiana Jones. He had a BLAST. Riley, who is really into Disney princesses and dressing up in her costumes, was thrilled to see the Disney princesses in real life and go on the rides that she and her prego mama could ride.
Jackson drove! |
Sierra's cousin Eleanor and her twins, Zoey and Ella, joined us in our Disney Day. They have season passes and the girls are 6 months younger than Riley. They live in Oxnard so we don't see them that often. The little girls and their moms had so much fun hanging out while the boys went on the big rides. Jackson said Star Tours was his favorite and they did that ride twice. Around 3 p.m. the crowds began because that night was a special Trick or Treat party and people were there for that in costumes. The regular guests (us) needed to leave by 6 p.m. but that was just fine with us! We were all tired by that point and my foot was looking gross as usual. Ha.
Ella and Zoey napped. Riley and Jackson did not. |
Where to next? |
We all loved the parade! |
